Job Description

Job Description

Children's Wisconsin is seeking an experienced leader to join our Human Resources team as the HR Service Center Manager. This role is primarily remote with the ability to work onsite as needed. This dynamic leader is responsible for providing operational and technical leadership and support to the HR service center team which is accountable for ensuring all employees inquiries are accurately addressed in a professional, timely manner. This includes establishing, meeting and continuously monitoring department goals and objectives while maintaining alignment with the strategic goals and objectives for Children’s WI.

The manager is responsible for driving business results through a focus on compliance, quality and employee/customer satisfaction, and ensures that changing Human Resources service needs are addressed in the most responsive and efficient manner possible with a focus on providing exceptional customer service to the organization. Additionally, the manager is responsible for training and providing direction to members of the HR Service Center team with a focus on employee performance, performance metrics, team building, and employee development to ensure employee effectiveness.

The incumbent is also responsible for overseeing service center systems and technologies, leading process improvement initiatives and leading projects within the department. The manager establishes performance levels and service standards to ensure productivity meets or exceeds service and quality standards. The team is responsible for maintaining a central point of contact for all employees, leaders and physicians for all HR questions. The Manager, HR Service Center works closely with the Director of Compensation and HRIS to provide programmatic, operational, and strategic leadership for the Service Center and works closely with Children’s WI employees and leaders.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or other related field.
  • Requires 5 years of experience in progressively responsible human resources or two years of demonstrable experience in leading programs and/or medium to large scale projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations that influence HR.
  • Knowledge of HR functions such as compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Ability to integrate knowledge into design and implementation of integrated service center strategy.
  • Ability to operate large contact center using contemporary call management and knowledge base tools.
  • Proven ability to examine procedures, formulate policy, design new strategies, develop sound proposals and successfully implement programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/mentor in a team environment where collaboration, motivation and the knowledge transfer process is critical for success.

Memorial Medical Center is currently seeking a Chief Human Resources Officer to elevate and lead all aspects of organizational effectiveness and human capital management for the organization.  This role serves as a key partner to the Chief Executive Officer and will drive transformation across the employee experience through the organization. The ideal candidate will have broad experience beyond Human Resources to include ancillary departments within a hospital environment, such as Employee Health, Employee Education, Food Services and Pastoral Care.  We are looking for a hands-on leader with strong executive presence who can quickly gain credibility and influence across the business and our external partners.  You will be highly visible across our team and the community in which we operate.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Participate in the strategic and operational planning processes as a member of the senior leadership team
  • Plan, staff and budget all operational areas of responsibility to ensure appropriate execution on business strategy while achieving business objectives in an efficient and effective manner
  • Understand the changing external marketplace and how the organization competes, to develop and implement innovative organizational and talent strategies.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner and advisor to leaders in all areas of HR including employee relations, development, and risk management to create a healthy and safe workplace.
  • Drive innovative talent assessment, performance management, succession planning, mentoring learning and development programs to best suit leader and employee needs.
  • Collaborate with Hayward CHRO to drive efforts across Hayward and Ashland sites to enhance programs in all departments of responsibility
  • Direct experience working with labor relations and maintaining strong relationships between the organization and Unions.
  • Leverage technology to improve mission critical functions and expand data analytics in tracking and reporting HR metrics to better anticipate future trends and make informed decisions.
  • Identify and implement team-building and employee development activities that promote highly functioning teams.
  • Drive innovative employee health and wellness programs to promote an all-around safe and healthy workforce.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master ’s degree in Business or Human Resources preferred.
  • 8+ years of Human Resources leadership experience preferred
  • Healthcare operational background preferred
  • Prior experience with working through service growth, understanding outpatient flow and the ability to establish relationships with Medical Staff
  • Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment
  • Analytical ability necessary to evaluate staff, address and improve clinical issues and devise solutions to complex problems.  Create an environment of open dialogue, inquiry and continuous development by asking for feedback and improving practice
  • Maintain regulatory requirements
